An important story
Marini Cipriano Srl is a high-tech company that caters to a medium-high level international market. Family management and a professional organisation enable a direct, qualified and trusting relationship with the customer, who has always been at the centre of the continuous internal evolutionary process, focused on product quality and user safety.
With the right balance between human resources and investments, Marini Cipriano Srl has grown steadily since its establishment in 1966, initially specialising in sheet metal cutting and welding, before focusing exclusively on the production of stamped industrial handwheels.
Behind a steel handwheel,
a great man and a united family
It was September 1978 when founder Cipriano Marini patented the first standard ergonomic handwheel. Since then, his ideas, values, passion and ingenuity, which were the result of insight and ‘calloused hands’, have become the driving force behind experimenting and developing new models capable of meeting the different needs of customers.
Cipriano’s children, Carmen and Giovanni, joined the company in 1988, and using the knowledge shared with them by their father, they have guided the company towards a future full of change and success.
The new market
and domestic leadership
Continuous structural, technical and operational improvements form the backdrop to the development of the handwheel production process, which has always been characterised by the pursuit of quality but is now more than ever strongly focused on safety, reliability and design: the demands of a market that is keenly aware of the importance of image but is regulated by strict standards to protect workers and the working environment. Marini’s products were the first to be designed with operator safety in mind, eliminating the risk of injury to fingers and hands, and it obtained ISO 9001 certification in 2000, certifying the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with international standards. At the same time, focus on customer service, support and satisfaction continues to share centre stage.
H+B Körner GmbH and internationalization
It was the meeting with the German company H+B Körner GmbH that opened the way for Marini Cipriano to enter European markets and beyond. Established in 1987, the partnership with the Hagen-based company in North Rhine-Westphalia continues today, characterised by the exchange of technical and commercial know-how and the expansion of the Marini Cipriano brand worldwide. Focusing on new markets was the natural next step, and today Marini Cipriano handwheels are installed on systems operating in many parts of the world, including Europe, the USA, Canada and a number of countries in the Middle East and Asia, earning the company global product leadership. The partnership with H+B Koerner has led Marini to be constantly involved in international trade fairs, both as a visitor as well as an exhibitor in Germany in 2019.
Physical and mental wellbeing,
a strategic corporate asset
In the knowledge that a working environment which supports the physical, psychological and social health of employees promotes a positive culture, respect for the workplace and a willingness to engage in continuous learning, Marini Cipriano has invested in the mental and physical wellbeing of its employees over the years (creation of a gym, team building and infrastructure enhancements including better workspaces, insulation and microclimate), improving motivation, engagement and awareness of mutual wellbeing.
Sustainability
Ever mindful of environmental responsibility, Marini has carried out various improvements to its infrastructure, including: replacing the entire tiled roof with insulated panels, thereby reducing energy loss; replacing all windows and doors with certified insulated fixtures; eliminating all traditional boilers and replacing them with new-generation units that reduce energy consumption; replacing all neon lighting with LED lamps; the installation of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 100 kWh.
The future for Marini
Targets for the future are ambitious but achievable. Close to obtaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, Marini pursues excellence in the market, customer satisfaction, sustainability and the wellbeing of its employees. New challenges are emerging from the constantly changing market, which Marini faces with enthusiasm and professionalism. Accepting change is an added value for the company, which demonstrates flexibility and reliability for future business horizons.
